Repair & restoration
Drummers, instrument technicians, and handy neighbors can help evaluate, clean, and restore percussion equipment.
Get involved
An old drum's second life takes more than a donation. It takes people who believe the music is still in there.
Time. Skill. Encouragement.
It all helps.
Ways to contribute
We're building connections with people who recognize the value of keeping a good instrument in use.
Drummers, instrument technicians, and handy neighbors can help evaluate, clean, and restore percussion equipment.
Educators, organizations, and local music programs can help identify equipment needs and potential partnerships.
Local supporters can help us think through collection, transportation, and thoughtful placement of instruments.
Looking beyond the Hudson Valley
Our longer-term ambition is a network of local Grandpa's Drum chapters across the country. Each could collect, restore, and redistribute percussion instruments within its own community, guided by the same mission.
For now, we're focused on building the right foundation here in New York.
