We welcome inquiries about drums, cymbals, hardware, and other percussion equipment with more life ahead of them.
A NEW BEGINNINGAn old drum doesn't have to be the end of a musical journey. Sometimes, it's the beginning of someone else's.
Welcome to Grandpa's Drum
A small beginning.
A lasting impact.
Grandpa's Drum is a philanthropic initiative of Fast Hands Drum Studio. We collect used percussion instruments, restore them to playable condition, and work to place them with individuals, schools, and community organizations who need them.
Discover why we startedA tradition worth continuing
He saw more than worn heads and aging hardware. He saw instruments that could be repaired, music that could still be made, and students who deserved a chance to learn.
He restored old drums and sold them to students at deeply discounted prices—not to make a profit, but to make sure they had working equipment.
Grandpa's Drum carries that simple generosity forward.

We welcome inquiries about drums, cymbals, hardware, and other percussion equipment with more life ahead of them.
A NEW BEGINNINGWe evaluate donated instruments and make feasible repairs to get them ready for their next musicians.
CRAFTED WITH CAREWe aim to place playable instruments with people and programs that might otherwise struggle to obtain them.
MUSIC IN NEW HANDSTwo ways to keep the rhythm going
That snare gathering dust or unused cymbal might be exactly what another musician needs.
We're building a way to connect restored instruments with students, schools, and organizations in need.
Grandpa's Drum is in its launch phase. Online inquiries are not yet open; these pages explain how the process will work.
Our impact, one drum at a time
Soon, this space will hold restoration photographs, the stories behind donated instruments, and the new chapters they find in their next homes.
